Marina Perez (she/they) is Nahua, Huichol, and Mexican, born and raised in Los Angeles with her traditional homelands in West Mexico.
She is a PhD student in Art History at the University of New Mexico.
Her scholarship addresses the intersections of Native art, archives, and cultural knowledge production.
With a B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development from Cal State Northridge and a M.A. in American Indian Studies from UCLA, Marina continues to expand her professional cultural arts scholarship as a graduate assistant for the Native Curriculum Partnership.
